Fabulous Saphire card
My art is inspired by the beautiful landscape of the Peak District and the myths and legends that are woven into its fabric.
I was out walking one day and saw this fabulous little chap, he's apparently a Common Blue ! I was astonished by his loveliness and well I think his name could do with a bit of work, I always imagine someone going “well its blue and there's a lot of them” and to be honest they cant be that common as I've never seen one before.
Butterflies symbolise transformation, life, change and hope, and these all seem like a very good thing indeed to me so I'm going to call them Fabulous Sapphire…. Common blue indeed !
